The Corset in Fine Matelassé

A steel boned longline corset with square neckline and intricate panelling. The flexible spiral steel bones, an underwire innovation originally born of the industrial revolution, is custom fabricated to specifications based on mid-century couture boning. Cut from a delicate Fine Matelassé and fully lined with smooth satin. Fastens through antiqued bronze eyelets with braided satin lacing.

The Corset runs a full size small. We strongly suggest selecting one to two sizes up. Expect a very open fit before the lacing is tightened; this is a structured garment with no stretch. Jeet is pictured in S.

Outer 50% Cotton, 50% Polyester. Lining 100% Polyester. Lining sourced from one of Australia’s oldest continuously family-owned textile traders, with more than six decades in business.

Dry Clean only. This is a highly delicate fabric sensitive to friction. Be cautious with jewellery to avoid snagging. Fabric is sensitive to heat. Do not iron or steam outer. Steam lining only.
